Investor Opinion of the Securities Industry Reaches Low Levels
The Securities Industry Association's recent survey is not welcomed news for Wall Street.
Only 9% of investors have a very favorable opinion of the securities industry. The percent of survey respondents and some of their reasons for concern are: (1) accounting fraud (65%); (2) fear of losing money (49%); (3) lack of trust in Wall Street (44%); and (4) lack of trust in brokers (38%).
